~ On Friday, the seventeenth of April, Ensemble De Sade will make an appearance at the first annual "New Music Bake Sale." In high demand since their groundshaking debut, the ensemble will present two new works embracing themes of dominance and submission, and sell baked goods. ~ On December seventh of the year 2007, classical music was born. Yes, concert music has existed for hundreds of years, but it took an ensemble of performers committed to subjecting its audience to the rigors and demands of the ideal concert experience for this music to mature into true classical music. The brave souls, nay, pioneers who were in attendance at this event witnessed the life being breathed into works by Schoenberg, Zorn, Messiaen, Nyman, and Penderecki. Indeed in their proper, bound state, these concert-goers were then free to hear the pieces as they had never been heard before, for in truth, they had yet to be heard adequately, that is, until they were performed by the Ensemble de Sade.
